Lavelle secures new litter bins for Lucan

March 20, 2012

Cllr. William Lavelle, Fine Gael councillor for Lucan has welcomed the installation and planned installation of additional litter bins at locations across Lucan as requested by him on behalf of local residents.

Cllr. Lavelle states:  “In recent weeks I have met with and spoke with many residents and community groups to discuss local anti-litter initiatives. On foot of these discussions, I have secured installation of new bins outside the Roma takeaway in Lucan Village as requested by Lucan Tidy Towns and at Larkfield as requested by the residents association.  In addition, I have now also secured agreement for the installation of further new bins at Castle Road (outside Abbeydale estate) and at the inbound bus-stop opposite the lay-by St. Josephs College.

“I hope these new bins will help in the local fight against litter.
